TDS now owns and operates Double Tapp Range — a purpose-built tactical training facility in Boise, Idaho. All professional instruction, unit-level training, and agency qualification courses take place here. Civilian programs run through DTR separately.

Paul Sweeney developed the Expeditionary Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor (ESAMI) course for the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command in 2007. This 80-hour program has been the gold standard for DoD instructor certification ever since.
